Our Adventure in Vietnam program, available in July 2025, blends academic courses with thrilling outdoor activities. Participants will explore Vietnam’s rivers and ranges, engaging in activities like kayaking on the Mekong River, trekking through rice terraces, and exploring limestone karsts. This program is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of environmental sustainability within the context of Vietnam’s diverse ecosystems. Through cultural immersion and hands-on learning, students will earn academic credits and gain invaluable insights into sustainable practices.

Imagine starting your journey in Hanoi, where you’ll be immersed in the city’s vibrant culture and history. Language classes and sustainability workshops will set the foundation for your adventure. Mid-program, you’ll travel to the Mekong Delta, navigating its intricate waterways and engaging with local communities on sustainable agricultural practices. Trekking in the northern highlands will take you through breathtaking landscapes and offer an intimate look at the lives of hill tribes. The final leg of your journey will be an exploration of Halong Bay, where you’ll kayak through majestic limestone formations and reflect on your transformative experience.

SCHEDULE:

Week 1: Arrival in Hanoi with orientation and cultural immersion activities. The first week includes language classes and visits to historical sites, alongside introductory sustainability workshops.

Week 2: Travel to the Mekong Delta for kayaking expeditions and workshops on riverine ecosystems. Mid-week, students will participate in community projects focused on sustainable agriculture and aquaculture.

Week 3: Trekking in the northern highlands, visiting rice terraces, and engaging with local hill tribes. Activities include homestays, cultural exchanges, and sustainability discussions on highland agriculture.

Week 4: Exploration of Halong Bay with kayaking and boat tours through limestone karsts. The program concludes with reflective sessions and a farewell dinner in Hanoi, celebrating the students' accomplishments and experiences.
