Our Conquer Everest program, available in June 2025, combines rigorous academic coursework with the physical challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp. This journey begins in Kathmandu, where students acclimate and explore the city’s historic sites before embarking on the trek of a lifetime. Daily treks through the Khumbu region bring you closer to the legendary Everest, with stops in iconic villages like Namche Bazaar.
Engage with local communities to learn about sustainable practices unique to high-altitude living, from yak farming to mountain conservation efforts. The trek itself is a test of endurance and willpower, culminating in the awe-inspiring moment of reaching Everest Base Camp. Throughout the journey, students participate in sustainability discussions, reflecting on the impact of tourism and climate change on this fragile environment.

WHAT TO BRING:
Pack essentials such as warm clothing, sturdy hiking boots, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and a positive attitude. Be ready to embrace new challenges and create lifelong memories. Due to the nature of this trip our destination experts will do a gear check a couple of months pre-departure to ensure safety.

SCHEDULE:
Week 1: Arrival in Kathmandu with orientation and cultural immersion activities. Preparation for the trek includes acclimatization hikes and sustainability workshops focused on the region’s environmental challenges.
Week 2: Begin the trek to Everest Base Camp, starting with flights to Lukla and daily treks through villages like Namche Bazaar. The journey includes guided tours of local monasteries and interactions with Sherpa guides, focusing on sustainable tourism practices.
Week 3: Continue trekking through the Khumbu region, with highlights including views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Sustainability discussions will be integrated into daily briefings. The week culminates with the arrival at Everest Base Camp.
Week 4: Descend back to Lukla with reflective sessions on personal growth and sustainability learnings. The program ends with a farewell dinner in Kathmandu, celebrating the completion of this extraordinary journey.
