DESCRIPTION:
Our Sustainable Guatemala program, available in June and July 2025, immerses students in the dynamic culture and breathtaking landscapes of Guatemala. This program combines academic rigor with hands-on experiences, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainability within local ecosystems and communities. Picture yourself starting your day with Spanish classes in the colonial city of Antigua, followed by thrilling activities like mountain biking through verdant valleys or hiking up the fiery slopes of Pacaya Volcano to witness a mesmerizing sunset.

During weekends, students will embark on unforgettable journeys, such as exploring the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal, where you’ll camp under the starry sky surrounded by jungle sounds. The experience is further enriched by staying with local host families, providing an authentic glimpse into Guatemalan life and traditions. Engage in community projects that highlight sustainable practices and contribute positively to the local environment.

Through this program, students not only have the choice to earn academic credits but also develop a deep appreciation for the interconnection between culture and environment. The combination of education, adventure, and cultural immersion ensures a transformative experience that fosters both personal growth and a global perspective.
